Privacy Policy

The short version
Fewbowl keeps your recipes, plan, list and preferences on your iPhone. There's no account. To write recipes, it sends your request and food settings to Anthropic. It never asks for your name, contacts or location.
What stays on your iPhone
Your cooking profile (goal, diet, allergies, how you cook), your recipes and ratings, notes, your week plan, your shopping list and the things you keep in your kitchen. Erase all my data, on the You tab, removes all of it.
What goes to Anthropic, and when
Only when you ask for a recipe or a change: what you typed, your diet, allergies, goal and daily targets, how you cook, your servings, cuisines and dishes you like, and how you rated recipes. Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, uses it to write your recipe. Fewbowl asks your permission before the first time, and you can turn it off in You › Privacy.
What goes to Fewbowl's server
Only if you turn on Share anonymous usage: an anonymous ID for this install and simple events, like “recipe written” or “added to list”, so the app can be improved. Feedback you choose to send is sent either way, with an email only if you add one. The server also counts AI requests per install to keep the daily limit fair.
Nutrition
Nutrition numbers are estimates calculated from USDA FoodData Central. When an ingredient is new, its name is looked up there. Nothing about you is sent.
What Fewbowl doesn't do
No ads, no selling or sharing your data for advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites.
Health
Recipes and nutrition are estimates, not medical advice. If you have a serious allergy or a medical diet, check every recipe and ask your doctor or dietitian.
Your choices
You can erase everything on your iPhone at any time. To ask about or delete anything sent with your install ID, use Send feedback in the app or email hello@fewbowl.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on this page, dated at the top.
